12.沉香是珍貴中藥(Agarwood is a noble Chinese Herb)

沉香是一種珍貴的傳統中藥材，藥性與功效在中醫古書本草備要(1694)有詳細記載。辛、苦、性溫。下氣而墜痰涎，入脾理諸氣而調中。暖精助陽，治心腹疼痛。噤口毒痢，癥癖邪惡，冷風麻痺，氣痢氣淋。 現代的中國藥典(1991)，對於沉香的藥性與應用亦有如下記述：(1)辛苦微溫。(2)行氣止痛。(3)溫中止嘔納氣平喘。(4)用於胸腹脹悶疼痛，胃寒嘔吐呃逆。(5)腎虛氣逆喘急。 (註：中國藥典中藥彩色圖集(1991)。三聯書店，香港。ISBN962-04-0933-7) (Agarwood is a noble Chinese medicinal herb.
